"Creating is like making a baked product. I love making cakes. Everything starts with the desire for something good. An indistinct desire, which starts from the belly, sometimes it has the aroma of orange, sometimes it is simply a consistency [...]
The fragmentary structure follows the movement of dreams, not at all linear but rather elliptical; in dreams we naturally experience jumps in time, free associations, unexpected and sudden openings, in dreams all the characters are always us [...]
The Tarot, close to the oneiric language, continues to guide me when I'm awake. The Tarot images have been a very useful tool of knowledge. They have guided me to recognise and give a face to a whole series of inner characters [...].
Through my relationship with the Tarot I have learned that nothing is permanent except change, there are no cards that are negative or positive at all and prediction of the future doesn't exist: each reading is a momentary mirror that pushes us to observe those aspects of us anchored to fears from the past and future time; it exhorts us to follow, through choice, the most useful way for our evolution.
The Tarot also inspired the overall structure of the book; a deck consists of 78 cards, just as in the book there are 78 written pages and 78 graphic pages [...].
