Irene De MAtteis

A duo recently formed in Berlin, Patate Blau combine

guitar (Roberta Dragone) and

voice (Irene De Matteis)  with the power of words.

 

In the lyrics composed by the musicians, everyday life shows what is extraordinary, like a blue potatoe.

 

The sound ranges from blues, to classical and traditional music, composing original songs full of passion and creativity. With the support of the loop station, scenarios  that are outside of their context are created, bringing a very comic effect[...].

Improvisation and interaction with the audience play a very important role in this "site-specific" performance that goes beyond the classical concept of concert and find its inspiration in cabaret.
